Caribbean

One of the things that might surprise you when you visit an Island in the Caribbean is how different they can be. It seems to depend a lot on how much rain they get and their elevation and who owns them. Some islands are very rich while others are very poor. Some are politically stable and reasonably safe others are not. Some are very expensive and others are not. In my Navy days we navigated through the Caribbean Islands, Bermuda and the Barbados and the entire area was great to explore. In fat I would like to go back on a sailboat and see the Islands from another perspective.  There is lots of marine history in the Caribbean going back to pirate times.
